August is Ruck Month


Do you remember when The Rise dedicated an entire month to rucking around NYC? Do you have no idea what I’m talking about, but you’re a big fan of walking while wearing a heavy backpack? Well good news! We’ll be doing that once a week – Mondays at 7 PM – during the month of August!

Rucking is a simple, low-impact and social form of exercise. All you need to do is load up a backpack with weights or other heavy objects and bring it to our once a week meeting spot. We will embark on a 3-4 mile walk together in a different set of neighborhoods each week and end at a bar/restaurant. It’s always a good time and a great chance to see your fellow Risers outside of early morning hours!

Here’s a tentative schedule of the meeting + ending locations. Make sure to check each week for any updates!

Fire up your favorite calendar or reminder app and add those dates! And start thinking about what you’re going to put in your backpack. Let’s make this ruck month the best ruck month ever!
