I can’t believe it’s already May! Two months ago we were embarking on a race to the top of the Burpee Leaderboard. (congrats to Pablo and Luisa – who completed 100 Burpees x 7 to break the tie!). And now here we are – waiting for the May flowers to replace these lingering April showers. But it’s only appropriate that we get all of this rain – because our May happy hour is going to be tropical!
Tomorrow – May 2nd – at 6:30 PM, we are meeting at Tropical 128 on the Lower East Side for some food, drink, and merriment. Their happy hour lasts until 8 PM, so enjoy the $3 domestic beers and $5 well mixed drinks! And you can take a look at their menu here (I’m eyeing the chicken tacos myself).
Make sure to swing by whenever you can and say hi to your Risey friends. Bring your co-worker! Bring your grandma! Everyone is welcome to join us.
Friday Hills
I will write up another blog post about this tomorrow, but a heads up that every Friday in the month of May, we will be in Prospect Park on Battle Pass Hill. Take the 2/3 train to Grand Army Plaza or the B/Q to 7th Avenue, enter Prospect Park and follow the main road to the left. We’ll be meeting in the grassy area on your left as you’re coming down the hill.
