We’re done with July’s rucking challenge! It was great to see so many Risers come out every Tuesday night to walk around NYC, replacing the weight of our workday burdens with the weight of our rucksacks!
But with a new month comes a new challenge. And we guarantee this one is going to be hard-core.
1000 (4-count) Flutterkicks
The challenge is 50 flutterkicks per day, Monday through Friday, for four weeks. That’s 1000 flutterkicks in the month of August!
Don’t know what a flutterkick looks like? Watch this video:
These flutterkicks are to be done on a four-count: that means every four kicks count as one. You can count like so: 1-2-3-1, 1-2-3-2…until you hit 1-2-3-50. That means you’re kicking 200 times a day for 4000 total kicks this month! When you put it that way, it sounds pretty badass!
You can break them up however you’d like. You can do 25 in the morning and 25 in the evening. You can try all 50 at once. You can do 10 on the hour for five hours. Whatever you do – the challenge is to stick with it for these upcoming four weeks.
By the end of this challenge we expect your FPM (flutterkicks per minute) will increase significantly. You will be a better person by the time September rolls around, and your abs will be eternally grateful. And sore.
